How to use insurance at Case.
At reception, patients are registered on a first come-first served basis unless the visit is an emergency. The steps below explain the standard patient journey described by Case.
Register at reception
If you are a new patient, the reception team records the relevant patient details. Every patient receives a unique identification number that can be used to retrieve their information on repeat visits.
Complete the insurance claim form
Insurance patients complete a medical insurance claim form. Repeat patients using insurance complete a claim form again for the new visit.
Confirm cover and next steps
The team checks the applicable insurance process for the visit. Your plan may require authorisation, referral documentation, limits or other conditions before particular services are provided.
Follow the patient guide
Patients are asked to wait for the patient guide’s advice on the next step. Cash patients pay the applicable consultation fee, which can differ depending on the doctor being seen.
Case’s own medical insurance is a separate product.
Case MedCare Insurance handles prepaid policies or premiums paid annually and covers inpatient and outpatient care. It is independent from Case Hospital, which manages patients whether they are prepaid or not. Case MedCare provides both personal and corporate medical cover.
